To ensure that Shetland maximises the economic and community benefit of developing its renewable energy resources while minimising the impact on the environmental, social and visual amenity of the islands.

2. Local Energy Storage
3. Inter-connector to the UK national grid and the export of renewable energy
4. Energy recovery and Energy Conservation Schemes
5. “Green Island” economies
