Cosmetic surgery has many side effects and dangers, just like any other surgery. One danger can even be death. Miss Argentina of 1994, Solange Magnano, died from a botched gluteoplasty. Gluteoplasty is the medical term for a buttocks implant. This is usually an outpatient procedure in which the patient gets to go home within four to six hours. This was not the case with Solange.

During a gluteoplasty, fat is removed from other areas of the body and is injected into the buttocks. Solange was a supermodel, though. She had almost no body fat, at all. So, instead of using fat, they used the PMMA plastic. This plastic is normally used on the face. This fluid traveled through Solange’s muscles and into her bloodstream. The fluid, then, filled her lungs and brain. She was transported to a local hospital where she later passed away.

Solange was only trying to boost her career as a model. She never thought that this surgery would take her life away from her and her from her two children. Solange was a beautiful young lady and really needed no alterations done, at all. She was satisfied with her body. She only wanted to further herself in her career. And, it got her no where.

Before anyone decides to have cosmetic surgery, they should research the procedure that they plan on having. All surgeries are different and have different side effects. Although, death can occur with any plastic surgery. Weigh the pros and cons and determine if it is really worth it. A prospective patient should talk to their doctor about the procedure, as well. Any information about what they are fixing to endure will be helpful. If Solange had known all of the dangers, she might not have went through with it. Rest in peace, Solange.

Having a baby is a fascinating experience. From the first initial flutters that you feel deep in your stomach to the on going changes that you witness with your body. Oh and let us not forget about what our hormones do. One day we may be happy, the next extremely sad and wanting to cry the entire day.

One change that many women are shocked to see happen are the way their breasts change. In the beginning of the pregnancy, a woman’s breasts start to be come quite sensitive and in some cases painful. Some women notice that their breasts will increase a full size during the pregnancy.

The most noticeable changes happen to a woman’s breasts after she has had a baby. Our breasts go through a stage of engorgement. This is when the breasts begin to fill with milk in order to feed our newborns with. If you have breast implants you might experience additional sensitivity. This is due to the changes that have occurred to the nerves in a woman’s breasts after she has had breast augmentation performed. It is said that if the implants were inserted through the armpit or under the fold of the breast a woman tends to have less issues after child birth. If the breast implant was inserted through the nipple (areola) it is said that breast feeding can be more painful or in some cases there is a lower production of milk.

If you plan to have children, be sure to discuss everything with your doctor, be sure they are aware that you have breast implants and make sure they know how you had them inserted. This may cause the doctor to keep a closer eye on you during and after your pregnancy. Be sure to do research as well and know the facts it will be a big help.

The medical term for breast augmentation is augmentation mammoplasty. Occassionally, it is known as breast enhancement or breast enlargement plastic surgery. The process is cosmetic surgery or plastic surgery that uses silicone or saline breast implants placed in back of the breast tissue or under the chest muscle. These silicone or saline treatments add size, shape and fullness to the breast.
The process in breast augmentation or enhancement takes several weeks. The initial consultation includes making decisions about the type and size of the breast implants. The surgeon will also advise the patient about post operative behaviors that the patient will have to follow for a successful operation. During the operation, the implants will be placed by the surgeon where they were determined during the initial consultation to be required to improved the size and fullness of the breasts. The breast augmentation surgical procedure takes between one to two hours.
Following surgery, the patient will be sore for about two days. Even after a few weeks, there might still be some soreness. The surgeon will advise the patient about what can be done to make her healing period less painfull and what to do to lessen the healing time. The patient who is going to have breast augmentation surgery should have a driver to take them to the surgeon’s office and to drive them back home.
Although some women have remarkable powers of recovery and are insistent on showing off their new breast size, a few days of rest is usually recommended by most plastic surgeons. Actually, listening to the instructions given to you by your surgeon and following them carefully will make the breast augmentation surgery a successful and physically satisfying experience for the woman who is suffering from small breasts or who has had her breasts misshappen following pregnancy and giving birth and who is not planning on nursing.
